Moreton Bay region is one of the fastest developing places in Australia. 

Situated between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, our region is one of diverse communities and landscapes.

It covers coastal settlements including Redcliffe, Beachmere and Bribie Island, rural townships and mountain villages like Mount mee, Woodford, Dayboro and Mt Glorious, established areas such as The Hills District and rapidly expanding urban centres like North Lakes, Morayfield and Narangba.

The Moreton Bay Regional Council area is a growing residential area, with substantial rural, rural residential, commercial and industrial areas. Council programs range from building roads and collecting rubbish to providing sporting facilities and promoting the development of art and culture.

The Moreton Bay region’s  proximity to Brisbane and major transport infrastructure make it easy to access, a benefit that has attracted numerous new residents and  businesses. Twelve divisional councillors and a popularly elected mayor serve the region. Each councillor's division has an average of 19,861 voters.

The region covers 2037 square kilometres and has a population of 371,000 which is projected to be 515,000 persons by 2031*.
