Global connections strengthened with new Boston office::

The State Government of Victoria has expanded its international trade and investment network with the opening of a new US office in Boston, Massachusetts.

The new office will promote Victoria’s medical technology and pharmaceuticals capabilities and will help connect Victorian companies to North American markets, while encouraging foreign investment in Victorian companies.

Victoria has the largest network of international offices of any Australian state, with the Boston office joining other recent openings of offices in Singapore and Santiago.

The Victorian Government Trade and Investment network connects Victorian companies with the international business community, giving market insights, guidance, and support to help businesses compete in global markets.

The Boston office strengthens Victoria’s presence in North America, adding to the existing network of offices in San Francisco, New York, Washington and Chicago.

The value of exports to the United States grew by nine per cent in 2016/17 to A$3 billion, driven by fast growing exports in pharmaceuticals.

Victoria has a global reputation for excellence in medtech and pharmaceuticals, having a highly skilled workforce, world-class educational institutions, leading research bodies and an advanced healthcare system.
